Free spins in game design
A free-spin feature is a series of game rounds defined by the slot rules without an additional stake for each awarded feature spin. Qualification, payouts and possible retriggers are specified by the paytable.
Free spins are not universally identical
Some games select special expanding symbols; others collect prizes, increase multipliers or retain wilds. A feature can end after a set spin count or according to another published rule. Do not assume the same mechanics across titles.
Retriggers and bonus purchases
Some products allow additional spins to be awarded during a bonus. Certain jurisdictions permit optional feature purchases while others do not. The existence or price of a feature in one configuration does not establish that another version includes it.
Free spins versus promotional casino bonuses
Game-integrated free spins and operator-sponsored free-spin promotions are not identical. Promotional awards may include wagering requirements, eligibility restrictions and expiry conditions. We do not promote or verify active casino offers.
Examples
Read the expanding-symbol approach in Book of Dead and the tumble-oriented feature in Sweet Bonanza.
