66-year-old Rodney Dean Buckle, who fancied himself as the next Tony Robbins, took money from clients and lost it at the casino, primarily targeting elderly individuals. From 2014 to 2016, Buckle managed his companies, serving as a financial advisor and personal growth coach. Using clients’ investments, he gambled at Las Vegas casinos, despite promising them a 100% return. Buckle placed a $2.4 million bet at the Westgate Hotel and Casino, losing $76,000. At the South Point casino, he lost $434,000. The motivator pleaded guilty to two counts of fraud. In addition to a one-year prison sentence, he was sentenced to three years of probation and ordered to pay $282,980 in restitution.
