According to the forecast by the Mexican Association of Gambling Equipment Suppliers (AIEJA), a significant surge is anticipated over the next three years. This growth is linked to amendments to federal laws affecting the offline industry.
Essentially, Mexico is prohibiting the opening of land-based casinos and gaming halls and is also reviewing existing licenses. With the potential growth, revenue from the online sector could reach $4.63 billion USD.
Currently, approximately 17.3% of Mexicans with internet access are involved in the online gambling market. AIEJA expects that by the end of 2028, the number of online casino users will increase to 36.1 million people.
