The gambling corporation 888 Holdings, founded by Israelis, has cut dozens of jobs in Israel as part of its global layoffs. It is not specified whether this is related to the Palestinian-Israeli conflict.
Approximately 11,000 people work for the company worldwide, with around 500 in Israel before the layoffs. Representatives from 888 emphasized that they had already laid off Israeli employees in January 2023.
“We are making changes to our organizational structure that will better implement our strategic plans. Unfortunately, due to these changes, some positions in Israel will be reduced.”
Recall that in September 2021, 888 acquired competitor William Hill for £2.2 billion, ultimately complicating the company’s financial position.
